Satrina Wilske is interior designer, hospitality specialist and trend expert. She studied conceptual design at ‘Academie Artemis’, Amsterdam. Since her graduation she has been fascinated by the concept of silence in response to a society with an attitude of being overly connected and “always on”.

In a world where people always seem to be “on”, silence is invaluable. With designed by silence, Satrina Wilske gives interior and hospitality advice to providers of holiday homes, holiday apartments, hotels and guest rooms. Her vision and method is the sum of these three main aspects:

  • The trend of digitalization in which people are always busy and accessible
  • her translation of this trend into a concept of silence, used towards interior design and hospitality
  • her passion for travel and her professional experience in the field of hospitality.

Satrina Wilske: “I love to travel and follow many blogs about trends, travel and styling. By making connections between latest developments, I know almost intuitively which trends are upcoming. As an interior designer, I am able to translate these trends into conceptual design as well as the styling of guest accommodations. Thus, I help providers to adapt to the changes in society and to make sure they stay ahead of what their guests nowadays long for. With my support, my clients create a unique experience for their guests: an experience that meets the needs of today and tomorrow. ”

Satrina Wilske is German and has lived in different countries, France being one of them. Since 2008, she lives in the Netherlands: the country which is internationally known for its design, as well as its flair for laid-back interiors – comfortable spaces with quirky accessories that never fail to evoke a smile.

  • Satrina Wilske has spent a night in our B & B and shared her impressions and feedback with us the following morning. She generously spent her time to offer us information and advice on what we could do to upgrade our accommodation. Actually, this has helped us to improve the atmosphere, the service and quality even further.
